1. Acceptance of these terms
By accessing or using biome.id and Biome services, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the services.
If you use the services for a business or organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that party to these terms.
2. Biome services
Biome provides a trust network for suppliers and resellers, including public business profiles, verification of business roles based on evidence, checked-evidence status, order track records, and invoice or purchase-order records.
Features, verification scope, fees, and availability may develop in stages and may change with reasonable notice.
3. Accounts and user responsibilities
You are responsible for keeping credentials confidential, keeping account information accurate, and promptly telling us if you suspect unauthorized access.
You are responsible for activity through your account, the accuracy of data you submit for verification, your profile content, compliance with applicable law, and your transactions and relationships with other users.
4. Verification and track records
Verification is performed by checking the evidence you submit. Verification status and evidence assessment are determined entirely by the outcome of the check, not by payment or request.
Track records are built from orders recorded through the services. Orders with payment or shipment proof count in full; self-reported orders are labeled and weighted lower. You must provide truthful data; falsifying evidence or orders can lead to status removal, suspension, or account termination.
5. Transactions between users
Conversation, agreements, payments, and shipments happen directly between supplier and reseller. Biome is not a party to those transactions, is not a payment provider, and does not hold user funds.
Recording invoices, purchase orders, statuses, and ratings through the services is intended as a shared record both parties can rely on — not as a guarantee of transaction outcomes.
6. Fees
Base services such as profiles and search may be provided at no cost. If paid services are introduced — for example a verification fee covering the cost of checking, a tools subscription, or a transaction fee on protected payments — they will be announced before taking effect, along with their basis.
The verification fee covers the cost of the checking process and does not guarantee passing verification. Third-party fees, taxes, or partner services may apply separately.
7. Prohibited use
You may not use the services to:
- violate law or another party's rights;
- falsify identity, business role, documents, or verification evidence;
- create or arrange orders, reviews, or track records that do not reflect real transactions, including through cooperating accounts;
- send spam, phishing, malware, or deceptive communications;
- attempt unauthorized access to accounts, data, or systems;
- disrupt, overload, scan, or test systems without authorization; or
- bypass limits, security controls, or service-payment obligations.
8. Intellectual property
Biome, its marks, software, design, and service materials belong to Biome or its licensors. These terms do not transfer that ownership to you.
You receive a limited, non-exclusive, revocable right to use the services according to these terms.
9. Availability and service changes
We work to keep services available and secure, but do not promise that they will be uninterrupted or meet every particular need. Maintenance, incidents, technology changes, or third-party dependencies may affect availability.
We may change, suspend, or discontinue features or services while considering operational needs and applicable obligations.
10. Suspension and termination
We may limit or suspend access when needed for security, abuse, data falsification, terms violations, legal obligations, or failed payment. Where reasonable and safe, we will try to provide notice.
You may stop using the services at any time. Terms that by their nature should continue will survive, including ownership, payment, responsibility, and dispute provisions.
11. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Biome is not responsible for indirect losses, lost profits, data loss caused by a user or third party, disputes over user-to-user transactions, or interruptions outside Biome's reasonable control. This does not limit liability that cannot be excluded by law.
12. Changes and contact
We may update these terms when services or applicable obligations change. The latest version will be published on this page with an updated effective date.
